THE SCHOOL YEAR
The Tracey Walker School of Dancing holds many events throughout the
year that students can take part in.
SHOWTIME
Regularly, we stage a large show at the St Mary’s Catholic School,
in Bishops Stortford, Herts in which ALL pupils, from babies under
five to adults, take part. It is a chance to see how the pupils have
improved and also gives them the experience of performing before the
public.
CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Encouraging pupils to learn the art of expressing their own ideas.
The winners of the competition are given the opportunity to perform
their dances in the next show.
EXAMS
Throughout the year we enter pupils for exams. This gives them something
to work towards, as well as a great sense of achievement when they
pass. Of course exams are necessary for those who wish to become teachers.
We currently have 100% pass rate!
SUMMER WORKSHOPS
Each year the dancing school holds a selection of dance workshops
during the School holidays.
This is an ideal chance for any child to try the latest dance moves,
and express their dancing talents in a mini show for parents at the
end of the day.
These workshops are very popular and are held in Bishops Stortford.
WEST END PERFORMANCES
Many students from Tracey Walker School of Dancing have either performed in West End Shows, or have the opportunity every year to take part in a Young Performers show at Her Majesty's Theatre and the Shaftsbury Theatre in the West End of London.
The BATD regularly organize workshops for the students to attend in the West End of London to learn Songs and Dance routines from shows such as Mamma Mia, High School Musical, Footloose, Wicked, Oliver, Grease,Tap Dogs etc. etc........... |
